Doctor Ralph Parkin graduated from Brigham Young University in 1973; obtained his
master’s degree from the University of California In 1975 and received his dental
degree from Washington University In 1978. After a great two years spent caring
for the dental needs of thousands of Native Americans in New Mexico, he moved his
family to Colorado Springs in 1980 and set up a practice which has grown into what
is now Cheyenne Mountain Dental Center. Doctor Parkin and his wife Sheila have five
children and three grandchildren.
Dr. Parkin enjoys having the opportunity to serve patients by helping them get and
keep their mouths and themselves healthy and happy. He stays up on the latest advances
in dental care and is committed to providing the best care possible for his patients
in a warm, friendly and caring manner. He is a member of the Academy of General
Dentistry, The American Orthodontic Society and the Colorado Prosthodontics Society.
He is an avid hot air balloon enthusiast and has spent many hours chase crewing
for and flying in those wonderful contraptions. He Collects balloon paintings and
prints that decorate the dental office walls, this brings an attractive, warm and
friendly atmosphere to its surroundings.
Recently he added what is called a vivarium to the office, which is a miniature
Eco system of live plants and animals in a controlled atmosphere that keeps both
children and adults interested and fascinated as they pass the time while family
members are receiving dental care.
